WELCOME TO WOOSTER MIDDLE SCHOOL CHORUS
September-Ann Baraquin, Choral Director
Music is a discipline requiring students to create, analyze, perform, listen, and respond in a social setting. Responsibility and respect are of the highest priority in chorus class. For that reason, students are expected to arrive to class prepared with required materials. The required materials are pencil, a folder for chorus papers ONLY, and a one subject notebook to be used as a music journal.
Chorus is a curricular area of study and concert participation is required. There are two concerts per grade a year, one in the Winter and one in the Spring. All concerts begin at 7:00 P.M. sharp! Students are required to arrive at Wooster no later than 6:15 P.M.
Concert attire should be dress pants and collared shirts with dress shoes for the gentlemen. The ladies should wear either dresses, skirts, or pants and nice tops / sweaters. The school dress code does apply so bodies and arms should be covered appropriately. The colors of the student's clothing will not matter as the school owns choir robes that the students wear for performances.
It is my belief that music is an academic which requires teamwork, discipline, hard work and responsibility. Please email me with any concerns that arise throughout the school year so that we can work together to see that your student achieves success in chorus class.
